If you want to prepare your home for a viewing then you will know more than anyone how important it is for you to try and get everything organised and in plenty of time. After all, presentation matters and when people are coming round to your property, you have to make sure that it looks its best. The last thing that you need is to make your buyers imagine what it would look like because you need to show them as soon as they walk in the door.

Always Drive by Appeal
So many buyers will drive to your property before they decide to book a viewing. You have to make sure that you tidy your home, mow the lawn and even trim any hedges as well. Little things like this may not feel as though they are worth doing but the truth is that they really are and you would be surprised at how easy it is for you to make a huge difference to your home’s appeal. If you know that your doorway is covered in stain then repaint it and even remove any weeds as well. If the weather is right then even put some potted plants outside the door as well as this will really help you to bring out the true look and feel of the property without compromising on the general feel of it. The more you can make your buyers want to come in, the better.

Bathrooms
You have to try and clear away the toiletries, the sponges and even the medications that you have out. Sure, this stuff can accumulate in the bathroom over time and they may be handy for you but to your buyers, they are only going to cause you problems. Bath and shower fittings should be as clean as possible and it may even be worth opening the windows so that you can eliminate any excess moisture that may have accumulated over time. It is also worth scrubbing down the silicone in your bathroom if it is covered in mould. In some instances it may be easier for you to replace it, and if this is the case you have to make sure that you remove the old silicone properly.
Your Living Area
It is so important that you declutter as much as possible. When you have clutter, it can make your room feel much smaller and it can also make it much harder for your buyer to picture their own items as well. You have to make sure that your fireplace can be appreciated and that you let any daylight into the room properly as well. You can do this by pulling back any curtains as well as removing any items that may block out light as well. You may think that cleaning carpets is a complete waste of time because you are moving out but this is not the case at all and it can add tons of value to your home. After all, the little things really can make a huge difference and you’d be surprised at how much of an impact it could have on your buyer.
