{Cleaning} Cleaning Your Dishwasher

Lets Get are Dishwasher Nice and Clean. You may be saying to your self, "clean my dishwasher? it cleans it's self" but that simply is not true there can still be a build up of gunk and even a odor in your dishwasher. and to help prevent this from happening you need to clean it. But how do you clean a dishwasher?

Here is how:

• Empty your dishwasher.
• Using all purpose cleaner wipe down inside edges of the door, Spray inside the dishwasher along the base of the door.
• Using a paper towel & old toothbrush remove gunk.
• Remove any food caught in cutlery basket & in bottom of dishwasher.
• fill a dishwasher safe glass up with 1 1/2 cups vinegar
• place in right side up on the top rack of dishwasher
• run dishwasher on it's hottest cycle, with glass of vinegar in it.
• once cycle is finished wipe down the the inside with a rag.
•  Sprinkle 1 cup of baking soda into the bottom of the dishwasher and then run again on hottest cycle (this step is optional)
• Clean the outside of your dishwasher. if stainless steal use polish.

Yes I know your Probably Think Its Self-Cleaning why are you telling me how to clean it the!

All though Self-Cleaning Ovens are technically "self-cleaning," they do still require a little work.

So that brings me to this Post!

How To Clean your Self-Cleaning Oven!

First Before You Start:

Pick a time when your kitchen is not going to be used, as the cleaning process takes several hours. You may want to do this earlier in the day because your house will get warm.

Remove and Pet Birds! and Keep pets and Children out of the Kitchen. I Put up Baby gates when I clean my oven so I know my pets can't get in.

1. Line your bathtub with old towels to help from the bathtub getting scratched.
2. Fill the Bathtub up with Hot Water as Hot as you bath water will get. (Don't forget to close the bathroom door or put up a baby gate if you have little ones.) 
3. Turn on the Hood Vent.
4. Open Kitchen Windows
5. Remove Oven Racks
6. Place Racks in Bathtub and pour a little dish soap on top. Let soak.
7. Check to see if you have any big spills in you oven. if you do Clean them a little with a sponge and warm water.
8. Start the Self-Cleaning Process on your oven. This process can take around 3 hours and might even take as long as 5-6 hours depending on your oven.
9. When the oven is done Cleaning You will probably see some ashes on the bottom of the oven, sweep or vacuum them out.
10. Wipe Down the interior of your oven with a damp cloth.
11. Going back to your Racks in the bathtub, Give them a good scrub with a brush.
12. Rinse & Dry Racks
13. Clean up bathtub.
14. Return Racks to Oven
15. Wipe Down Outside of oven, If stainless-steal Polish with stainless-steal cleaner.

Did you know that your washer is Dirty?

Yep that's right the thing that cleans our clothes gets dirty.

Did you know your dirty laundry may actually be even dirtier after you wash it? yes it can, That's because experts say washing machines are teeming with bacteria that find their way onto your clothes... and then onto you.

One of the big problems but the smallest item is our undergarments, because of the presence of fecal matter and different types of bacteria they can carry.

If you wash a load of just underwear, there will be about 100 million E. coli in the washer, and they can be transmitted to the next load of laundry.

There's about a tenth of a gram of poop in the average pair of underwear.
And Children Underwear can be even worse! Grossed out yet? So what can Help? Cleaning Your Washer!

But how do you Clean a Washer?

If you have a Top Load Washer Read Below.

1. Set washer on it Hottest Cycle.

2. As washer fills 

• Add 1-2 cups vinegar to the water.
• With a sponge and the running water wipe:
• Top of washer
• Lid
• Outside washer
• Inside lid
• Rim of the washing machine
• Spinner
• And any other spots you can find and think of.

3. Clean Fabric Softener dispenser

4. Repeat Wash Cycle one more time with out vinegar.

Do this about every 4 months!

1. Clean Your Pump Clean Out Read You Manual on how to do so. How to Video!

2. When empty, Pour 1-2 cups Bleach Into washer, Run on Hottest Cycle. (My Washer Has a Sanitize Cycle that is what I use for this part.)

3.Using a Spray Bottle with vinegar and a toothbrush, Spray around the seal area's.

4. With the toothbrush, scrub seals and hard to reach area's.

5. Using a paper towel or rag wipe all gunk and vinegar off. If needed repeat step 3-5.

6. Wipe area clean using a cloth with warm water.

7. Clean your Pump Clean out again.

8. Now if your Washer has a Basket Cleaner Setting run your washer one last time on that setting. or just run your washer on the hottest setting again.

9.Wipe out side of washer down and leave washer door open for 24 hrs to dry out.

Tips:

• Clean your washer about every 4 months.
• wash hands after handling dirty or wet clothing.
• Hang Clothing on your line in the sun to dry it will help kill germs.
• Keep your washer door open slightly after each wash to allow it to dry out. (This will help your washer not get smelly)
• Do not leave wet clothing in your washer.
• If you happen to leave wet Items in washer to long wash items with a cup of vinegar, the wash again with your detergent. (This will kill and smell in the items and the washer.)

{DIY} Homemade Vanilla Fridge Spray!

I love Wiping down my inside of my fridge with

my Homemade Vanilla Fridge Spray, after giving my Fridge a good clean. It makes it smell so good.

What is Vanilla Fridge Spray? It's a Household Cleaning product, It's a food-safe disinfectant that also smells wonderful.

I would not use this as my primary cleaning solution because Rubbing alcohol won't kill all microorganisms. but it still is a wonderful touch up cleaner and deodorizer!

So How do You make it?


Here's how:

• 1 Cup Water
• 1/4 Cup Rubbing Alcohol
• 1 1/2 Tablespoons Vanilla Extract

Combine all ingredients in a Spray bottle and The shake.

{Cleaning}- Spring Cleaning a Mattress

I love doing this to my mattress it spells so good after and the lavender helps me relax!

This mix help with dust mites.

The Baking Soda Helps draw up any moisture & Deodorizes. The Lavender Gives it a soothing Scent That will help Relax You and give you a good Nights Rest.

You can use any Essential oil you want or none at all its up to you but I Highly Recommend Trying it with the Lavender.

What You will Need:

• 1 cup Baking Soda
• Jar with lid
• 8 drops Lavender Essential Oil, or any other kind you like. (optional)
• Kitchen strainer or sifter
• Vacuum with hose 

If your not using essential oil's skip step 2!

What to Do:

1. Remove all bedding, Including bed skirt. and wash it all.
2. Place baking Soda and Essential Oil in jar Close Lid tight and Shake well.
3. Using strainer or sifter Sprinkle Backing Soda Mix on Mattress.
4. Let Sit for 1 Hour or Longer.
5. Vacuum Mattress
6. Place bedding back on bed

{Cleaning}- How to Clean Your Ceiling Fan!

Ceiling Fan's can get pretty gross with dust all built up on them.

I have one above my bed, and nothing drives me more crazy at night, Then when I look up and see I have forgotten to clean the fan.

Now yes the ceiling fan can be a messy job all that dust you wipe off and drop onto the bed or floor or what ever is close by. Today I'm going to share with you how to clean your fan a easy and clean way.

What you will Need:

• A Old Pillow Case
• Vacuum
• Damp Rag

What To Do:

1. Take your pillow case and gently slide one of the fan blades into it. 
2. Slide the pillow case off the blade wall wiping the blade at the same time. This will make all the dust go into the pillow case and not on the floor. Repeat this with each Blade.
3. Vacuum all over the fan using your vacuum hose.
4. use you damp rag to give it a good wipe down.

{BATHROOM} How to Clean your Sink & Shower Drain.

Every Month or Two its good to give your Bathroom pipes a good clean to keep them clear of grease, oil, and hair clogs.

Here is how I do it:1.) Take Plug out and Remove any Hair you can get.

2.) Pour 1/2 cup Baking Soda Down the drain. Followed by 1/2 cup white vinegar. (The mixture will foam up)

3.) Let stand a few minutes to dissolve fatty acids.

4.) Pour boiling water down the drain.
