Week 9 Here We Go!
Many of you have been Emailing me asking me Question on how I Find Time To juice.
So I thought this week would be good to take the Time to Answer some Questions, and Show You My Routine.

Here are some Questions Asked:
What's Your Routine,  and How do you Make Time to make your Juice?
How do you pack juices for your husband lunch?
How do you keep everything Clean?

Lets start with the first one, Routine & Time: Really The Way I fined Time is having a Routine and Sticking to It. I have a Morning Routine I Follow (Read Here) and a Evening Routine I Follow (Read Here) On my morning and evening routines I have a set time for Cooking I use this time to make my Juice.
I make all my Juice at one time! I Make Dinner around 5:35PM When I'm juicing I make Juice But not Just my Dinner juice I make all My hubby and my Juice's for the next day at this time. I put them all in mason jars and then put our morning juice in the Refrigerator and the rest in the Freezer.
This make it so I'm not spending all my time juicing. Then In the morning all I Have to do Is Put my Hubby's Juices in His Cooler For work.

Packing Juice For my Hubby's Lunch: I make and freeze them the night before, This makes it a lot easier. and I don't have to worry about them going bad.

Keeping everything Clean: If you take a look at my morning and evening Routine you will see I always make time to pick stuff up after I cook This helps a lot. When I'm all done making our juice in the evening I take apart my juicer and just put it in my dishwasher (my juicer is dishwasher safe) and the turn it on at the end of the night. then in the morning I unpack the dishwasher and put my juicer all back together super easy.

I hope you can fined this Post of to some use. Let me know if you have and Tips! also I would love to here what your Routine is so comment below or email me contactus@ultimatehousewife.com

Get Fit Get Healthy Week 8

Week 8 is already here!
It's hard to believe we have been at this for 2 months.

I'm feeling so good! How about you?

This week we or going to keep our plan the same as last week,
but, if you feel like you could use more work outs, go ahead and add a day.

Haven't joined us yet? Here you go!
1.) If you haven't already, join the challenge here: Get Fit Get Healthy "Starting"
2.) Every Monday, come back to Becoming the Ultimate Housewife to read the tips on how to get fit, get healthy, and feel more sexy and confident.
3.) Weekly, write a post (or email me about your progress) following the goal chart below, and link up with us.
4.) Don't forget to grab the Get Fit Get Healthy button on the Sidebar and display it on your blog or on your update post.

This week, I would like to give 10 tips on making juicing life easier!
That's a word we like to hear, EASIER!
These tips and tricks will help make juicing a fun smooth process for you.
These are all of things I do to help me and my Hubby.
Let me know if you have any to add to the list.

So here we go, 10 Juicing tips:
1. Make a Grocery list: Its so hard to juice when you don't plan your meals.  If you go to the store and just buy what ever looks good, chances are, you are going to spend to much money and not have everything you need. That might just make you stop all together. So before making a trip to the store make a meal plan and a grocery list so you know exactly how many fruits and vegetables to purchase. Don't forget to look around and see what you already have on hand.

2. Saving time: Prepare your fruits and veggies the night before if you plan on making a morning juice. Wash all of the produce and then place them in a storage container in the fridge.

3. Line your pulp basket: If you have a juicer that has a pulp basket, line it with a plastic bag for easy clean up.

4. Juice in a cup: Juice strait into a cup or mason jar. This will help with clean up.

(Tip From Reader)
5. Cut or tear produce to fit through the juicer: Cut any produce that might be to large to fit through the juicer whole. Once you start cutting vegetables they begin to lose nutrients so it's best to cut just before juicing. If you really need to save on time, though, you many want to add this step to your night before or weekly preparation.

6. Re-juice your pulp: Once produce has been passed through the juicer, check to see if your pulp is damp. If so, pass it back through your juicer and you'll be able to get more juice from it.
You can do this with the pulp if you're making burgers. Use the pulp from carrots in the meat. It makes them bigger and it taste yummy. You can also add a little if you are making bread or muffins!

7. Storing juice: If stored properly, juice can last up to 2 days max but remember that there are no preservatives in fresh juice so it can go bad quickly. Juice will keep for 24-48 hours in the fridge (72 hours is maximum time suggested, but I like to stay in the 24 rule). If you are traveling, bring your juice in a cooler. Store your juice in an airtight container, preferably glass, but BPA free plastic works too.

8. Freezing: Freezing is also an option but less desirable than refrigeration. If you freeze your juice, do it immediately after juicing. Thaw in the refrigerator. Juice will last up to 7-10 days in the freezer.

9. Cleaning your Juicer: Carefully scrub your machine with warm water and soap and place on a drying mat. Check the owner's manual to see if your juicer is dishwasher safe. This will be even easier.

10. Storing Environment: Your juice should be stored in a dark, cool environment away from heat and light.

Okay, so back to week 7!
We are almost up to two months!
Its time to push things up!

This week, I want you to try to make all of your meals juice!
Yes, I know this can be very challenging, but just try it and see if you can do it!
If you find that you need to or want to eat, then make some lean chicken and a healthy salad or veggies, but eat a small amount, not a big serving.

If you don't think you can do it, at least try. If you slip up and have something, who cares! Just get back up and try again. The big word here is TRY!

Also, this week, try your hardest to work out 30 minutes a day for 3 days, if not more. Really try your best to do no less than 3 days. This is whats going to be hard for me, but I'm going to TRY my best!

If you need some help on the way, friend me on My Fitness Pal!

Now for this Week, I'm going to give you some healthy recipes.

Fruit Splash
*This drink is so good, but do be careful. Alcohol is not good for weight loss, but if your going to have something this is a good choice.*

What you need:

Vodka
Pomegranate juice
Blue Machine Naked juice

Directions:

Mix to your taste.

Kale Avocado Salad w/ Vinaigrette:
(makes 2 servings)

What you need:
4 handfuls kale, chopped
1 handful red cabbage, chopped
1 tomato, chopped
1/2 avocado, diced
1/2 cup olive oil
1 Tbsp. balsamic vinegar
1 Tbsp. honey
1/2 Tsp. dried basil
4 cloves garlic, chopped
sea salt and ground black pepper to taste

Directions:
  1. Cut kale off of stems and chop (you can save the stems for juicing)
  2. Chop red cabbage, tomato and avocado (for a little change up on this dish sometimes i will leave out the tomato and avocado or just leave one out)
  3. Mix all together
  4. In a separate bowl, mix dressing: Blend the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, honey, garlic, basil, sea salt and pepper.
  5. Add dressing to the mix and toss.
This dressing is also very good on meat as you grill it or as a marinade for roasted veggies.

Carrot & Sweet Potato "Fries"
I love this one!
Sometimes I will do carrots and yam fries. So yummy!

What You Need:

2 medium sweet potatoes (sometimes I use yams)
2 large carrots
2 Tbsp. olive oil
1 tsp. ground cumin
1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
1/2 tsp. sea salt

Directions:
  1. Preheat oven to 425 F
  2. Peel the sweet potatoes and carrots. Cut the potatoes in half lengthwise and slice like fries. Do the same for the carrots.
  3. Put the potatoes and carrots into a bowl and toss with oil, cumin, pepper and salt
  4. Arrange on baking sheet lined with parchment paper or on a stone.
  5. Bake for 30 minutes or until the flesh is tender and the outside is lightly browned and the edges slightly crisp.

Green Citrus Juice
What You Need:

2 green apples
2 oranges, peeled
6 big handfuls of leafy greens (kale, chard, spinach, romaine etc. I like to use kale)

Directions:

Rinse all ingredients and cut to size for your juicer. Juice and enjoy!

This week we are going to talk about working out at home.

Some don't like to go to the gym and I'm one of those people. Many of us find it hard to even find the time to work out, let alone go to a gym to do it.

I love working out at home! The only thing I like about the gym is the pool.

There are so many workouts you can do at home for free! It is so nice. I have 3 workouts that I really love to do, but I'm only going to talk about 2 of them this week. I will talk about the other in a later week.

Two of my favorites are Pilates and Step-Aerobics.

What I may like or what works for me might not work for others, so do keep that in mind.

The Goal is to do 30 minutes a day every other day of Pilates, paired with a cardio work out on alternate days.

All you need to do is 30 minutes a day of something that really works all you muscles and you will start seeing a change.

Here is a link of a workout Video I Like.

You can also subscribe to my YouTube account to see more videos that I like.

My Get Fit Get Healthy Goals "Starting"

So I have started a new Goal!
Not to lose so many pounds by a special Date, but a Goal to be all together "Fit & Healthy"!

Everyone wants to be sexier, healthier, fit and love themselves.
this Challenge will help

I Started on Monday and I'm doing well...

So go ahead and follow my Blog so you can keep Up.

What I will be doing is each Sunday i will Make 2 Post 1 on How i did that Week and 1 with the Goal and Info for the next week. so don't forget to check in.

Also I would Love for you to follow along with me doing all of it, so here our some others ways you can do this with me.

1.) Follow My Blog

2.) Follow Me on My Fitness Pal
(Click the Link and sign up and follow me.)

Some Steps To start with: ( You can Do all or just some that's up to you)

1.  Eliminate  soft drinks/sodas.
soft drinks are bad: empty sugar, extra caffeine dependence, tooth decay, bone weakening ( from an ingredient in sodas) and tons and tons of chemicals.

2.  Drink 8 glasses of water a day.
Hydration is one of the most important things that can keep us young and healthy. Helps skin elasticity too, so drink up. There’s an iPhone app for this I'm Using "Daily Water" A Free app.

3. Eat at least 1 salad a day
There’s only 8 calories in a cup of romaine lettuce, yet it contains 80% of DV for Vitamin A , 19% Vitamin C, 60% Vitamin K and 16% of Folate.

4. Cut down fatty and/or processed meat consumption to at most once a week

5. DROP THAT POTATO CHIPS BAG!

6. Make only whole grain meals instead of refined grains

7. Use less salt.

8.  Start writing down every calorie you eat
recording everything you eat and counting calories helps you realize the nutritional mistakes you make throughout the day and keeps you from pigging out on those cookies or ice cream at 10 pm. This is why I use the My Fitness Pal Follow Me Click Here

9. Eat no more than 1 sweet treat a day

10. Eat at least 5 servings of fruits and vegetables daily

11. Make a home cooked meal using the healthiest ingredients and no oil at least 3 times a week ( mac and cheese or potatoes and steak do not count as a healthy meal)

12. Work out at least 1 day this week
You can pick just one challenge, or as many as you’d like. If you feel you’re disciplined enough to handle a few challenges, go for it! You can come up with your own challenge that fits your life better and share it with everyone.

Here Is My Info and Goal This week.
1.) Weight & Height: 147lb / 5' 4"
2.) Fitness Callenge(s) for This week: work out at least 1 time
3.) Food Challenge(s) for this week: cute back on soft drinks, drink 8 glasses of water a day, eat 1 salad a day, eat less chip if any at all, make more whole grain meals, use less salt, count my calories using My Fitness Pal, try to only eat 1 sweet treat a day, eat at least 5 servings of fruits and vegetables daily, make a home cooked meal using the healthiest ingredients and no oil at least 3 times a week.
(as you can see i changed it a little for myself i have to be realistic in what i will do)

Now 5/30/2013
