Just how do some moms manage to be upbeat and relatively stress free whenever you see them? You know the ones that I am on about. They always look so well-dressed when they drop off their kids at the school gate, and they always appear to be in a good mood. Do you feel like they put you to shame? There’s no reason for you to feel like that - there are a few ways you can be just like them too!

If you want to be a happy and fun mom, you just need to pick up some habits. These are great habits that all seemingly perfect moms will have, and they will find them very hard to break as they will be so helpful in their lives. So, if you want to try to be like them, you need to try to live like them and fall into their good habits. If you start picking up the following habits, you might find that people start to envy you at the school gate before too long!

Ask For Help When Needed

Do you always feel stressed at home? This is very often the case for many moms. No matter how hard they try to keep on top of their childcare, chores, and cooking, it can sometimes all pile up and seem like too much. If this regularly happens, it might be a sign that you need to start to ask for help. In fact, happy moms usually know exactly when they need to ask their partner, family, or friends to step in to help them out. That’s why they rarely look stressed! I’m sure that you will already have a very strong support network, so you will have plenty of people who you can ask a favor from whenever you need it most.

Leave The House Once A Day

If you have a baby or toddler, then you might struggle to leave the house some days. When there is nowhere to go or no one to visit, it can be very tempting to stay at home. In some cases, you might even find it easier to stay in rather than get the young one ready for an outing. However, that will end up feeling very isolating. If at all possible, you need to try and leave the house with your little one at least once a day. This gives you both the chance to enjoy some fresh air. In fact, all that fresh air will help them drop off when it is time for their nap. It also gives you the chance to meet your friends and see other people so that you don’t feel cut off and lonely at home. Even if you just go for a short stroll, you will still feel a big difference in your moods.

Make Time For Fitness

Some moms complain that they don’t have time to focus on their fitness once they start a family - they are too busy looking after the kids and doing all the chores. But, no matter how busy you may be with your family, I’m sure you will still be able to squeeze in a few quick workouts every other day. One great idea is to stream your workout online. That way, you don’t have to waste time traveling to the gym or an exercise class. You’ll be able to find plenty of fab workouts online, and there are hundreds on YouTube. Most of them have been created by qualified fitness instructors who will take you step by step through each exercise. Most of these videos are between twenty and sixty minutes long, so I’m sure you will be able to squeeze them into your day at some point. For instance, why not do a quick workout while the kids are having their afternoon nap!?

Meal Times Are Social

If there is one part of family life that most parents struggle with, it has to be meal times. After all, the majority of young children can be super picky and may refuse to eat quite a few meals that you put down in front of them. Thankfully, though, there is one way you can improve their eating habits. You just need to make sure that every meal time is social. So, you all need to sit down as a family without any distractions from TVs or cellphones. This is some quality family time when you can talk to one another. By doing this, children will create positive associations with meal times and foods, and will be a lot more open when it comes to trying new things.

Get Plenty Of Early Nights

As the head of the household, you will need to be as energized as possible each day. You will also need to try to stave off everyday illnesses, like the common cold, or else your whole clan could end up coming down with the lurgy! One way to stay healthy and full of energy is to get as much sleep as possible each and every night. Ideally, you need between seven and nine hours of good quality sleep. Of course, this isn’t always possible if you have small children that might keep on waking up through the night. If you do end up losing some sleep through the night, you might want to try to catch up by taking a nap whenever your kids do through the day.

Don’t Neglect The Relationship

Your family isn’t just made up of you and your kids. You also need to think about your partner as well! So, make sure you don’t ever neglect the romantic relationship between you and your partner. One way to keep the spark going is to have a date night once every couple of weeks. This should be just the two of you spending some quality time together away from the kids. I’m sure their grandparents will be happy to babysit them!

As you can see then, it is possible to be a happy mom - you just need to get into these good habits!
